Awwww. I've been a Dallas Cowboy fan for a long time. I'm sure that if they win the SB this year, they will make you proudQuietOne wrote:Thanks Duck!
And I appreciate the Texas Language one as well. As for the “Go Cowboys!” ... All I can say is if they would “Go Elsewhere!” it’d make the state a whole lot better!
Yes, I like to change it up every now and then. There is no doubt about it when I get an emailQuietOne wrote:Sounds like you and I have something in common. We both sound like we get tired of the “same old, same old“ all of the time. That’s why I’m collecting all the .wav files so I can change my mail announcements regularly.
Now THAT would be cool....after the "preview" button of courseQuietOne wrote:Now all I’ve gotta do is convince FT to add a randomizer capability into the sound file playing code. Sound like a winner to you and/or anybody else? If so, join the campaign.

Hello, I am new to the forum and have a sound I always use. I can hear throughout the house when I get mail!! In fact everyone in the neighborhood can tell when I get email!!

Does anyone have any problems with the sound not working all the time when mail comes in? Sometimes I hear sounds and sometimes I don't.

Re: Got a custom sound you want to share ?
As long as you have the sound settings set properly and remember to put another window over the top of MW's window you'll hear the sound.
If MW is the top window it makes the assumption that you have nothing better to do than to stare mindlessly at the screen for hours waiting for new mail and doesn't make the sound.

Re: Got a custom sound you want to share ?
Lol....MWP's "assumption" is a bad one and I told it so Honestly, the program is sitting in the lower right of the task bar where it normally sits. I sent myself an email from a different email address and it came in with no sound. Sometimes it works and sometimes it doesn't. Any other assumptions I may be missing?stan_qaz wrote:If MW is the top window it makes the assumption that you have nothing better to do than to stare mindlessly at the screen for hours waiting for new mail and doesn't make the sound.

This is really off topic for this thread on sharing sounds, if you want to start one of your own maybe some others will chip in.
