An observation about the iPad when this happens the screen goes white and unresponsive like what happened to me this morning. The error message when it occurs only is visible on the screen for a very very short interval and then disappears. Yes, that's happening here too on the iPhone/iPad. The server is not actually down, just the HTPS portion of it (SSL part of it sprung a memory leak). Back up now, developer stepped out for lunch just before it happened...murphys law

Back here now. Powering down the iPad and then back up cleared let it restart. Not sure if it was necessary but since it seemed to be hung I shut it down.

It's the SSL part, we're trying to figure out what's causing it to crash. It's the start of the day here now, so you can let us know if it goes down. I'm not sure if we've got it working to auto-restart, but it appear so if it's been up and down in the night
