I like the new display for empty accounts, telling us that there are no new e-mails rather than presenting us with a blank white page and us wondering if MWM is still trying to link to the MW server. Other new features and enhancements work nicely, also.
However, I do not like having to log-in each time I reopen the app. In previous versions, I could close the app, but when I reopened it I was still logged in. I suppose the new way is a security measure, but a malfeasant would have to know my phone password to get into my phone itself before trying to access my MW account. When I close the app, it says I am logged in, but when I reopen it I have to log-in all over again. To me, that's a nuisance. Is there a way to keep me logged in? I couldn't find any setting option to select keeping me logged-in or not either within MWM's settings or via the application manager. (I'm using Android.)

I'm staying logged in. I only had to log in after installing the new version.

Re: Vresion 1.2 log-in question
Thanks for your reply cfheinz.
How are you shutting down the app? To conserve battery life, I don't leave my apps running fully. I hold down the center button on the bottom of my Samsung S3, and that pulls up an icon list of apps that are still fully running. If I hold my finger over any one of them, I am presented with the option of deleting that app from the list of open apps or getting information about the app. If, instead, I click on the app icon, it reopens the app. In that case, I am still logged-in. If I have deleted MWM I am then no longer logged-in.
In the past, I would opt to delete MWM from the list. When next I opened MWM, I would not have to relog-in. Now I do. I'm hoping there is a setting I am missing to stay logged in as before.

Thanks Sidewinder. Dang my luck!
But it's comforting to know that I'm not doing something wrong.

Re: Vresion 1.2 log-in question
We're looking at a fix for this at the moment for Android. The app doesn't really use much battery when it's not being used as all the checking is done remotely on our servers and it only springs in to life when you decide to wake it up and use it.

Re: Vresion 1.2 log-in question
Thanks for your reply Nick. That MWM doesn't drain much power is good to know. Impressive, even.
In previous Andred versions of MWM our log-in remained active. I hope you find a way to bring that back. Must be hard to write an app that works as planned on both Android and Apple systems.

Re: Vresion 1.2 log-in question
The login problem is a known bug with this version of PhoneGap (a program we use as a base for Mailwasher), and they said they'll have it fixed in 2 weeks so we'll do an update then.

Yes, I'm having the same problem, whereas 1.1 didn't. Hopefully it will be sorted out soon. Otherwise, the app is great

More than a month and still counting.
This failure – nothing to do with Firetrust – has effectively put the beta programme on hold for Androiders.

Re: Vresion 1.2 log-in question
Yes, sorry. We now have a fix, but we just need to make some server side changes to tie everything in (reset password, recycle bin), so hopefully Monday we can give you a new version with it all working.

Re: Vresion 1.2 log-in question
Good to hear.
So it takes a new version of the app to work rather than changes at your end?
I wondered if it was just a server side thingy.

It's actually the app which needs to be changed, but we also added in reset password and recycle bin, so just finishing up some server side changes for them.

Re: Vresion 1.2 log-in question
We've got a build which fixes the login problem but has the reset password and recycle bin showing but not working. If the login issue is bugging you, you can use the Android build below which fixes it. Plus, there's notification settings for each account.
http://cdn.firetrust.com/apps/mailwashe ... her12b.apk
Almost finished the reset password and recycle bin, still more integration work to go.
