I'm aware of that, there is a control there for sound - on/off but I get no sound. IPad mail & messages now show a specific selectable sound in the notification settings.nick.bolton wrote:It's just new email. If you go in to your IOS Settings>>Notifications>>MailWasher, it should let you specify sounds, banners etc

ahh, I see. I'll play around with it and see if I can replicate but for now the sounds works on our devices.

I did however find that the new Apple iOS apps settings allow the user to select a specific sound. I think this would be a great suggestion for MWM
Re: 2.0 RC App for iOS
Cockpit problem. After chasing this for many days and reviewing all settings I finally found that the slide switch (enabled to mute) was not fully in the off position and was muting all notification sounds.nick.bolton wrote:ahh, I see. Great, thanks for letting us know.
Custom sounds would be nice, we'll stick it on the list. Would also be good to have an option to only get notifications if emails are from friends.

Re: 2.0 RC App for iOS
Could you provide the way that the new mail count is calculated for the Notifications?
Specifically is the count supposed to be reset to 0 when the user completes a check mail.
I have observed several where the count was more than 20 new and then after completing multiple swipes the next notification will still indicate more than 20.
I have noticed several inconsistencies in the last few days regarding notification of 2 new mails and when a swipe is completed there is only one new one that came in.
EDIT: My observations are based on the Lock Screen area.

Re: 2.0 RC App for iOS
The lock screen shows the count for each new message when they come in, but the left menu in the accounts screen shows the total for each account. So you might be seeing oddities from the lock screen as that only shows new email counts.

I think that the lock screen counter should be reset to 0 when a check mail has been initiated for the next entry on the lock screen. I don't think that is happening.nick.bolton wrote:The lock screen shows the count for each new message when they come in, but the left menu in the accounts screen shows the total for each account. It's not, instead it's just showing the latest count of new emails. eg you have 5 new emails, now you have 3 new emails etc

Ok, it's unclear what constitutes "new" this way. I think it will make users think that there are messages missing when they see the inbox.nick.bolton wrote:It's not, instead it's just showing the latest count of new emails. eg you have 5 new emails, now you have 3 new emails etc

Re: 2.0 RC App for iOS
I assume this is an IMAP account? I just logged in to one of mine and saw a couple of emails duplicated, so I clicked through them (in the web browser) and they're showing different ID's which means they're being downloaded twice. We'll take a look

Ok, good to hear, that makes it easier to debug. Not good it's getting progressively worse. Does logging out/logging in fix it?

Haven't tried a log out/in but will next time I see it. I did close and restart the app and there was no change.nick.bolton wrote:Ok, good to hear, that makes it easier to debug. Not good it's getting progressively worse. Does logging out/logging in fix it?
