reverting back to version 654 from 730 how to keep settings?

After almost 10 years with Mail Washer I am going back to version 654, i am told my lifetime key will work.
Retired now the renewal costs are to high now, Maybe i didn't understand "Life Time" evidently only for the version at the time I bought it.
They sent me a link to the old version where my "Lifetime Key" will still work.
How do I install this version, do I have to remove the present version 730 first?
Will 654 work with my Windows 7 system?

No, you don't need to remove v7.30 before installing v6.5.4. They use different settings, and so can be run together.

v6.5.4 should work on Windows 7, though I would expect that you'll need to set up your accounts manually as the email account importer isn't compatible with the latest versions of some email programmes.
