I know I need to use a manual. How many are there out there for MW and is there one place better than the other? I find often times those that write manuals know all the minutia of steps and sometimes think we know a small step they leave out. assuming we know. For that reason I hate manuals, reading helps. You invest time, get to a point that's not clear and you're stuck.
So 2 important questions, at least for me at this point.
If I have my mail program running on the background, Gmail, on the phone let's say, is it going to catch the mail before Mailwasher and and the spam too, so that it still shows on my Gmail accounts. Does Gmail have to be off on every device for Mailwasher to work? I'm not good with words. So in another words, If I have MW set up to check every 15 minutes, and Gmail is still active on a browser on the PC or a phone, and it checks the mail on the phone, is it going to download the mail before MW, correct?
And the 2nd question. I'm getting good mail showing in MW. But I know I get lots of SPAM and it's not in MW for me to blacklist or whatever. So opened my Gmail in a browser and there was a good amount of SPAM. Why was it not showing on MW first?
Thanks. I really do try to Google answers but there not always clear and concise.
Many thanks, jack ":-{
So mail is coming, mostly good mail. But the spammers are not there?

http://help.firetrust.com/en/products/m ... index.html is the Help File link.
If you ever decide to use an email program, not the browser, then I would recommend ThunderBird as that has lots of nice options for ThunderBird to only pull down emails when you specifically ask it to.
Also in MailWasher under Settings >> Accounts >> Incoming >> Advanced >> there is a couple of other options there that you might want to adjust.
One is to download Read email, by default MailWasher won't load an email if it's been flagged as read by your browser or phone app.
The other is how many days of emails to load. You can set MailWasher to load emails from the last 2, 7, 14, 30 days, or all.
It could well be one of those two options above that is also why those spam emails you mention are not loading.
Cheers
Yes, it will, MailWasher won't stop those download from happening. The emails that load into your browser or phone first will still load into MailWasher.If I have my mail program running on the background, Gmail, on the phone let's say, is it going to catch the mail before Mailwasher and and the spam too, so that it still shows on my Gmail accounts. In MailWasher go into Settings >> Accounts >> select the account then the Incoming tab >> if it's POP at the top change to IMAP >> Save >> then click the IMAP tab >> look in the list for your Spam or Junk folder >> check this so MailWasher will check this folder along with your Inbox folder. I suspect these emails that are missing are those.And the 2nd question. I'm getting good mail showing in MW. But I know I get lots of SPAM and it's not in MW for me to blacklist or whatever. YES! Thank you. I knew I'd had it set IMAP but didn't know about selecting and saving a folder. I found the SPAM folder, checked it, saved and then went back to the CHECK MAIL and it downloaded all the SPAM
