mailwasher doesn't 'see' email from 2 weeks ago

i have found an email from 2 weeks ago in my outlook with a file attachment. it is marked as read and i don't even remember this email.
so now i am concerned what it is with this mystery file.
it may be entirely safe, but i am always very cautious with attachments in emails. i just want to check this thing, and because mailwasher is a safe way to preview emails i figured i have a simple fix for this.

so i marked it as unread and went to mailwasher and hit check mail but it doesn't get 'seen' at all. it is as if the email is still marked as read.
i have tried several times but it just does not show up at all.
i went through its settings and cannot find anything about ignoring emails that are more than X days old even if unread, or anything that might show a clue as to why it refuses to show up, but can't find anything at all that may indicate why it doesn't appear.

when i go on holidays, sometimes my emails pile up for many weeks and mailwasher always sees them, and i have seen mailwasher 'see' emails that are marked read, have been opened and still show up in mailwasher, but this one email does not appear no matter what i try to do to get it to be 'seen' as an unread email.

how can i get this to show up???

Yes, the email will only show in MW if you are using IMAP in Outlook, it is in the Inbox folder in Outlook, and in MW, you have it set to show all email for this account under the Incoming tab>>Advanced beside "Download Period" .... ?
