Numerous errors

MWP is beginning to get right up my nose for the following:
1. Many items marked for delete before Wash Mail, show up on email program. This is happening repeatedly.
2. Before I had an opportunity to Wash Mail this morning, the night's 29 items were downloaded to Windows Mail, which meant numerous deletes Including 2 junk. WM was not open at the time.
3. Mail is checked every 10 mins. Often on Restoring MWP, less than 10 mins ago will show with an X number of items. These are Washed & Mail client automatically starts. But instead of just the items remaining after the wash, others, including spam & deletes appear.

Perhaps someone will be able to show which Settings must be altered - although I've set them to the recommended.

First you need to alter the settings for Windows Mail so that the following does not happen:
(1) Download emails on Start Up
(2) Periodic check for email every (n) minutes.
