Display all fuzzy following last MW Pro 2010 update

Help!
Prompted by a new update message a couple of days ago I updated MW Pro 2010. Ever since then I have not been able to read the display and have not opened any mails at all. Rest of my computer's display is fine, web browsing etc. I also still get the black screen known fault when launching the app.

Should I uninstall and reinstall to see if that fixes it? Or can anyone else help me with suggestions to resolve the issue?

Have you checked your Video Card Drivers to make sure that they are the latest? There have been problems due to out of date drivers.

Also can you post a screen capture of what you are seeing?

What OS are you running and is it 32 or 64bit?

I checked my video adapter driver (NVIDIA v6.14.11.9107 - 27/09/09) and did an update to latest version (NVIDIA v6.14.12.5896 - 09/07/10), rebooted machine after update but that hasn't resolved the fuzzy display issue in MW Pro 2010. I have a GeForce (PNY) 6200 512MB DDR2 AGP8X graphics card. Screens are v good and clear other than for MW Pro 2010.

I'm running MS Windows XP Home 32-bit SP3 for my OS.

I have dropped a screen shot into a word doc attached because I couldn't work out how to drop it directly into the post.

I have viewed the SC and have to say that I haven't seen anything like that on my XP system.

Are you running Windows Blinds or any unique Windows Theme on your system? If you use Windows Blinds then change the settings to exclude MWPPro.exe.

There are a few things to try.
(1) Go to Settings, General, Application, Application Settings, Font and try these to see if the condition changes
(2) Display Options on top RH side pull down arrow and on the bottom try change the theme to which ever one that you are not currently using.

EDIT: If none of the above changes then your install may be corrupted. I would suggest that you try going to the Control Panel Add/Remove Programs and select MWP 2010 (if you have both versions installed be sure you have the right one) click on it and you should be presented an option to Repair. Do that and see if it fixes the problem.

thanks for the latest suggestions, update on my display issue and resolution attempts:

I am not running Windows Blinds. I was using a Win XP (modified) theme however I reverted this back to standard Win XP theme and MW Pro 2010 still fuzzy display.

Re 1 & 2 - because I cannot read the screen display in MW Pro 2010 I am unable to try these options, I'd be guessing what to select from the drop downs etc.

In the end I did a full uninstall of MW Pro 2010 (control panel/add remove prog didn't offer me a repair option) and a new install of MW Pro 2010 still with pc running standard Win XP theme on display settings.

This has not worked, MW Pro 2010 launched and the display is still all fuzzy just as per screen shot in doc already posted.

The program works though and I took the risk of washing mail as is because I hadn't accessed for around 4 days and really needed to see what had been sent to me, MS Outlook opened and messages downloaded fine. However this rather defeats the object of using a prog like MW Pro 2010 as I just hoped it worked ok based upon its previous learning, friends, blacklist etc.

Any further suggestions / options I can try please?

Interesting. We did embed the fonts into MailWasher in that version where previously it was loading from the Fonts folder. You could try repairing .NET, I know that's fixed some previous font/display issues for other users.

In the Control Panel >> Add/Remove Programs Utility >> look for the Microsoft .NET Framework 3.5 SP1 and select to Repair/Uninstall >> if there isn't an immediate Repair option select to Uninstall then Repair >> follow the on screen prompts then after it's done a reboot wouldn't hurt either.

Well I've repaired .NET 3.5 SP1 and downloaded latest 3 security updates for .NET 1.1, 2.0 SP2 and 3.5 SP1, and full reboot all still to no avail, display on MW Pro 2010 still as fuzzy as ever. Display clear as anything everywhere else on pc.

I've also managed to change the theme to plain from 3D in MW Pro 2010 options and increased various settings so that I can nearly make out the words under the fuziness.

I'm still hopeful that someone may have further options / suggestions to resolve this issue. I have logged a service ticket with firetrust.com.

Hav you tried [display options]>>> (set brightness to 0%) ? That should eliminate the background colours, giving you black letters on a white background...

All,

They say that 'time is a great healer' and it must be because another day on, combined with all of the above action, logged in this morning, MW Pro 2010 launched on its own and display is back to normal, clear as anything!

Thank you to everyone for their suggestions to help me resolve the fuzzy display issue.
