It's not depending on windows or your datebase.

I tried a fresh install on a brand new Windows System: It's erroring too:

FT says it only happens in Win11. It's the same problem in Win10.

Version 7.12.187 is working 100% for me on two Windows 10 machines. Scary stuff yesterday when both MWP installations quit, one on a computer that hadn't even been powered on in the 30 hours prior.

Hello, newbie here.

This problem started for me yesterday morning, November 12, on my Windows 10 desktop and laptop machines, and it worked fine the day before on both machines.

As someone else said, it seems like Firetrust would want to come up with a fix as quickly as possible, so that new users don't get a bad impression.

I'm really missing this app, but will randomly check for updates to my .173 rather than diddle with any more software or settings.

Given that it's now an obvious and established issue, Firetrust, can you post a 'Top of Topic Sticky' so people don't have to wade through the fluff to find out what's going on.

Also, it wil be easier to check that you have sorted the problem (SSL Cert issue with Dates?) and that your customers can start yo update safely again :)

Cheers

I would like to know where that version came from, even the first post of it with a link. I'm still going to wait for some form of official release or announcement , as rolling back to 7.12.125 worked for me, with no loss in settings etc.

As described by others , and FT themselves within the forum. As seen in post at viewtopic.php?f=16&t=58538

The last CURRENT VERSION is 7.12.173
MW187 is not the latest.

Don't use reg cleaner. It will just corrupt your reg

Your Reg informations are stored in a file called: key.file
It's located in c:\ProgramData\Firetrust\MailWasher
I updated my post - reg cleaner might (!) delete too much (some custom settings), but it has never corrupted my registry - anyway, that is not the issue here.

V187 is on the MW CDN, so I 'assume' (I know, always tricky) it is secure - probably a beta (not indicated as such), but it is running smooth.
EDIT: available here (but not within MW itself, as v173 said it was up to date): https://www.softexia.com/internet/emai ... mailwasher

For backing up MW:
1: under 'File' (menu), there is an 'export'-function
2: there is/was a backup tool: mailwasherpro.de (site is down - I happen to have an 'old' version (maybe the last one, as it is not maintained any longer))

Also I wonder if this is related to the recent British Summertime Change in Clock time in the UK
That was the last weekend in October, so I doubt it.

Same issue version 7.12.173, Windows 11Pro, US. I haven't read all of the posts, but did want to mention that I also noticed that the recycle bin contents are now missing as well.

Hopefully we get a fix soon.

Didn't we have all of the problems with this .173 version:
viewtopic.php?f=50&t=58384&start=45
We had to disable something 'First Alert' or MailWasher just shutdown.

Unfortunately for me I have completely uninstalled MWP (angry) and lost the lifetime licence data/info (and confidence in the product). So I don't know if I will bother after this latest cockup and just try Thunderbirds AntiSpam measures..
Just clean your registry (Wise Registry or CCleaner have portable versions), then install MW187 - enable FA - it runs fine (now) on both my Win 10 PC's.

Contact MW support (from your registered email address and register the app again). Yes, 173 is a misfiretrust - their support is always fast (and friendly), they will help you out (though I'm wondering why they are (too) silent lately - with MW-updates and replies on this board).
The last CURRENT VERSION is 7.12.173
MW187 is not the latest.

Don't use reg cleaner. It will just corrupt your reg

Your Reg informations are stored in a file called: key.file
It's located in c:\ProgramData\Firetrust\MailWasher
Thanks for that, fortunately that is still there.
So until Firetrust release a fix/new version of MailWasher Pro I will continue with ThunderBirds email spam measures enabled.
