Hi guys, I've noticed that I'm best off using "Australia, Sydney" server living in Melbourne, the latency figure is way lower than overseas servers, is their any downside to choosing a server in my own country? Also I'd like to suggest that all Hideaway users watch The Great Hack 2019 documentary, it reaffirms my belief that VPN's are worth every cent & I personally have closed down my Facebook forever partly due to having watched the movie!

Hi there LuckyPhil,
I don't believe there's any downside to using a local server. You're more likely to get faster speeds and local search results. You'll have the same networks as any other person living in Australia but your ISP won't know what you're doing or sites visited.
