I have noticed that MWP v7.12.6 will reset itself to default settings every few months.
How do I stop this from occurring?

Just which settings are changing ?
e.g. Are your accounts also being removed, or just some user interface settings, does the learning need to be retrained..
At a guess you've got some kind of cleanup program that is wiping files it should not. We've recently had issues with AVG tuneup, so let us know if you run one of those.

Accounts are not removed, it is simply the color scheme, window sizing, and the original "how to use mailwasher" video screen pops up.
I do have a cleanup program that I use once in a while, Wisecare 365, but this is not the cause of it, since it happens without using cleanup.
I have learned to make backups of MW every so often and when the reset occurs I simply restore the backup and all is well again.
It is simply an annoyance and was curious if others had the same issue.

Re: Mailwaasher Pro 7
OK, that sounds like it might just be startup.xml file that is getting reset. If MailWasher tries to read a file that is corrupt it will restore to the default, so that now sounds more likely.

Re: Mailwaasher Pro 7
I do see the log file you described, however, it only shows some dates and times and nothing more.
I believe when I restore MW from backups, the log file is replaced with the backup version.
When the reset occurs again, I will send the file to you prior to my restoring MW.
I have no clue when that will happen however.

Dave
