Unable to connect to server to check mail
I have 5 email accounts through my ISP (AT&T), Until 2 days ago, no problems and then ... I was unable to connect to their server to receive/send email for 2 of the 5 email accounts. Long story short, I spent most of the day yesterday on the phone with AT&T and Microsoft Office ... after a lengthy remote connection with Microsoft, it was discovered that a "secure email key" (instead of password) was needed for Outlook2016 to connect. Now, I'm finding the same issue with MalwasherPro ... I can connect to 3 of my accounts but not the 2 that were assigned secure email keys. I searched my AT&T accounts and can't find the long "key" to try with MalwasherPro. The only option I have is to make a new key but I'm leery that will interfere with my Outlook connection. As suggested in the Mailwasher's Error message, I turned off Email Client Protection NOD32 but it didn't help. The usernames and passwords are correct. The server address is correct (tried several different ones yesterday trying to get to the bottom of this ... none of them work). I don't see a "port" setting ... I'm checking email not trying to FTP. My other AT&T accounts are using the very same settings. Any troubleshooting will be appreciated. I sure do miss Mailwasher.

Re: Unable to connect to server to check mail
I noticed in another post that there is a special code for MW and Yahoo. My incoming is normally inbound.att.net but I noticed the Microsoft Outlook 2016 technician changed incoming to pop.att.yahoo.com when using a Secure Email Key. I tried the suggested Yahoo code (Post: MW can't open Yahoo mail) Use this code to connect and share your Yahoo info with MailWasher Pro xcsjhbv) - however, it didn't work. Am I on the right track? If so, is there another code that would work for pop.att.yahoo.com?

So if it is required it is something required by AT&T. That led me to this: https://www.att.com/support/article/ema ... KM1240308/

Re: Unable to connect to server to check mail
I don't see why. I too use Outlook 2016 to get all my emails from 7 different accounts - 4 gmail and 3 from my ISP, Cox. I don't use secure email keys on any of them and I get my emails just fine - in both Outlook and Mailwasher.... after a lengthy remote connection with Microsoft, it was discovered that a "secure email key" (instead of password) was needed for Outlook2016 to connect.

Yup, as above, that link should give you all the details.
You either use your regular password with OAUTH in MailWasher.
Or you use no OAUTH and the Secure Key.
The OAUTH option in MailWasher is under Settings >> Accounts >> Incoming >> Advanced.
The link posted indicates how to create a key, although the way I read it you have one key per email address, if that's correct then you want to use the same key as used in Outlook for each address.

Re: Unable to connect to server to check mail
Regular password with OAUTH checked ... no luck. Created new security keys and they are both working. Each account has 2, one for Outlook2016, the other for MW.
Thanks for helping me. I appreciate your help so much.

Try removing the account from MailWasher under Settings >> Accounts >> then use the Account Wizard to import the account from Outlook, it should bring in the password/key.

You're so knowledgeable and cleaver. I'll make note of that should I run into another wall
Many thanks!
Mailwasher is just great! Gone for a few days and I missed it so much. No more wondering if I have mail in various accounts, no more unexpected spam flooding in. It's like having eyes in the back of my head too. I <3 Mailwasher ... and the support is par excellence. Thanks again!
