Using the latest version.
Recently I have been have been some strange reactions to deleting mails.
This culminated today when I (accidentally) downloaded my mails from my two active addresses straight into Mailwasher and had to clear out the junk ;(
However, a couple of hours later I ran Mailwasher as usual and all the 'old' mails appeared!
Maybe I have set the wrong actions somewhere but I had a look at the settings and, afaics, I have haven't set to leave on the server(s). What I am wondering is how did all the messages already downloaded to my mail re-appear?
I have noticed that some (old) mails re-appear in later Mailwasher sessions, not consistently, but I assumed they were errors on my part.

Re: Erratic delete behaviour
Hi Barry
First update to this latest beta version, it will install fine over the top.
http://cdn.firetrust.com/downloads/mail ... _12_36.exe
Then under Settings >> Accounts >> Incoming >> check the Store Cached Emails is not checked for any of the accounts.
Thanks

Re: Erratic delete behaviour
OK, updated. Neither of the incoming have Store Cached ticked. Is that overriding the mail servers' options?

BTW, just tried again. This mornings' mails which were left after washing are still appearing, despite them having been loaded on Thunderbird.

In ThunderBird under Tools >> Account Settings >> select Server Settings for the effected account, does it say it's of type POP or IMAP at the top ?
Thanks

Re: Erratic delete behaviour
The two of them are POP. That is why I asked about server settings.
I have always used POP instead of IMAP, 'cos one of the two has given me problems with IMAP.

Re: Erratic delete behaviour
Is MailWasher also set to use POP as well ?
Did you recently change the option in ThunderBird to leave the emails on the server ? I believe also ThunderBird requires a restart after making that change for it to take effect.

Re: Erratic delete behaviour
Strange, I reset the 'keep on server' for both and MW reacted straight away. However, I tried to load a French Dict. but it didn't work, without a message saying so. Then an upgrade message from TB, and there it was after the restart.
Ho-hum, keep safe and thank you for the help.
