I have just upgraded my PC to Windows 10, which required re-installation of my email program Thunderbird and Mailwasher Pro.
Now I find that emails remain in the Mailwasher Inbox even after they have been downloaded to Thunderbird - this did not happen in my previous set-up under Win7 and I cannot remember how to change it.
Any ideas please.

Re: emails remain in Mailwasher after downloading to Thunderbird
In ThunderBird go Tools >> Account Settings >> select Server Settings for the account >> in the right panel at the top, if it reads it's an IMAP account, then this is not a behaviour you can change easily.
If it's POP, then uncheck the option to 'Leave messages on server' >> click OK >> restart ThunderBird. It will then delete the server copy on download, note it won't do this for messages you already retrieved before changing the setting.
Back to if it's IMAP. By default IMAP leaves all emails on the server. MailWasher also when using IMAP will only load messages in the Inbox folder that are flagged Unread and from the last 7 days (default settings, can be altered).
So you could switch MailWasher to IMAP (Settings >> Accounts >> Incoming) >> and when you Read a message in ThunderBird, or move it to another folder, MailWasher would no longer see it next check.
Alternatively, you could remove the account from ThunderBird and add it back in, but choose to add it back as a POP account instead, allowing you to make the change mentioned above.
Cheers
