Passwords (problem 2)

MW 7.12.38, WIN7 Pro

New problem with this MW version where it will forget passwords for several accounts. Computer is on 24/7, MW set to check all accounts every 20 minutes.

Will work flawlessly for hours, then the Error tab pops up listing actions which failed. Re-checking for New, problem persists on several accounts and only way to clear the situation is to shut down MW and restart. Restarting has never failed to fix problem, but several hours later-- boom.

There are four private domains (mine) and two commercial domains (via 'net providers) mail servers. Problem occurs with private and commercial servers.

This bug did happen with earlier versions- but only once or twice a year.

There are 36 accounts MW handles, all but a few are IMAP, which limits the number of mails to seven days, and usually under 200 emails.

This is probably an issue where MW is either getting a temp issue from the server, or getting itself in a tangle where the restart of MW clears it.

Next time this happens, after your restart MailWasher can you go Help >> Send Support Logs >> enter a brief note like 'as per forum, orygun' >> in the Ticket Number field enter chris >> Send Logs >> also reply back here once sent so I can check they arrived all OK.

Sorry for the delay. It's an odd one alright, MailWasher is periodically getting thrown back an error for bad login, which obviously is not true.

Under Settings >> General >> Checking Mail >> try setting the Check Throttle back to just 1 account at a time, it will be a touch slower but be good to see if this improves the stability. As it's only happening on the Century accounts it's possible they have some kind of limit on connections.

If that does work, push back up to 2 or 3 accounts at a time and see how that works.
