Here are my two suggestions for any future versions of MW 11:
1) Option to remove the "Today", "Yesterday" etc lines in the email list. They just take up space
2) Option to switch off the Event logging. Checking 5 email accounts several times a day results in a massive list. I know it's simple to clear the log but it would be nice if one could simply switch it off.
3) Add an option to select a global colour for all filters under Spam Tools -> Filters. At the moment the default colour is an awful purply-red and every entry has to be changed to one's preferred colour (dark grey which is better for the eyes) and with dozens of filters carefully added using my old Mailwasher filters, it takes ages to click on each one, click edit,

It would defeat the purpose to have dark grey as the default color for spam — personally, I don't like the default purplish red, either. However, color (just like beauty) is subjective — check out my preferred color for spam (attached herewith.)Helvetica wrote:3) Add an option to select a global colour for all filters under Spam Tools -> Filters. MailWasher Users with excessive filters can always set their default color/s quickly by editing the corresponding User file directly instead of attempting the same through the user interface — the advantage (apart from the speed) being that one can even set colors which are unavailable on the MailWasher palette.Helvetica wrote:<snip> and with dozens of filters carefully added using my old Mailwasher filters, it takes ages to click on each one, click edit,

Re: Suggestions for options
Thanks for the replies. However...
Re my first "suggestion":
Right-clicking the Delete column header shows me the word Account in the drop-down list but the list is only the columns I want or do not want to be displayed. If I click on "Account" in that list (when "Account" is already enabled), it simply removes the Account column of course, so I am not sure how to get to the Delete-->Account-->Received-->Remove Received part..
Re my 2nd suggestion:
I mean how to disable the "Event Log"
Re my first "suggestion":
I do not have any Option called "Received", neither when I right-click the Delete column header, nor when I right-click anywhere on the column header lines (where you can select which columns you want to have displayed).>1) Option to remove the "Today", "Yesterday" etc lines in >the email list. No, I don't mean the default mail reception setting. I know about that one - it's been very handy and time-saving since way back when.>2) Option to switch off the Event logging. If that is not the case, you might want to post a screenshot of your MailWasher Inbox, highlighting the issue.
This will ensure that your Event Log tab is not visible — however, whenever an event error is encountered . . . . . . . even on any single account, the Event Log tab shall reappear and remain visible until the next successful mail check.

If the Language on your copy of MailWasher is set to Proper English, the option may be displayed as Arrived instead of Received.Helvetica wrote:I do not have any Option called "Received", neither when I right-click the Delete column header, nor when I right-click anywhere on the column header lines (where you can select which columns you want to have displayed).

The Event Log thing:-"Always Show Event Log" was already disabled, but it's no big problem. I'll just try to remember to empty it now and again.

1. DARK Mailwasher!!! I can't take those bright screens any more.
2. Right now you can trap mail with either the full name & domain, or just domain. Badly need trap for just name. Spammers are walways changing their domain but they seem proud of their name.
