Yahoo mail-MW can't log in and I would appreciate suggestions
MW works well and with all my email accounts. About a week ago, MW can't check my Yahoo account. It can't connect. I have my son's Yahoo email account being successfully accessed by MW. Both accounts are set to Imap. I have confirmed my password is correct. Suggestions would be appreciated.

Solved but why. My son's account does not have a generated password for a third party app as per Yahoo saying it is necessary for apps. MW accesses his. My account now works because I signed into my Yahoo account using a browser and I generated the app password. OK, great. Then I noticed my Gmail account (my kids' Gmail accts are accessible by MW) is not working. Solution: of course I had allow less secure access on, but MW could not access my gmail account. All I did was remove "@gmail.com" , saved settings, and access by MW to my Gmail account was restored. Summary: two of three Yahoo accounts were accessible by MW. Generated an app password while in my Yahoo account and now all three Yahoo accounts are accessible by MW. My Gmail account was not accessible; I took out "@gmail.com" after my email address in MW settings and access by MW to my Gmail account was restored. I hope this helps someone; I apologize for starting a useless thread.
