Google 2-step verification fails Mailwasher Pro 7 access

Google are going to enforce 2-stage verification on login into your Google account.
I decided to turn this on prior to the enforcement date of Dec 6th.
Immediately, Mailwasher Pro failed to log in, but as Thunderbird (my mail program) is a "trusted App", that still works.
I don't see any way of allowing Mailwasher that same sort of access.

What are we going to do?

In Google, create an App Password to use in MailWasher, your main GMail password stays the same, this is just for use in programs that won't use OAUTH (like MailWasher)
