Is it possible to set up MailWasher so some mails are never shown anywhere?

Fri Jun 16, 2023 7:11 am

I would like to configure MW (through filters, I guess) so that there are particular emails which I never want to see at all (except perhaps in the MW Recycle Bin - but I'm ambivalent about that.)

I'm using Outlook 365 client, and use 3 mail servers (gmail, outlook.com, and usa.net/IMAP). I want to configure MW so that if any of my mail servers gets a mail from abc.com, say, I will never see it in Outlook on my laptop, nor will MW show it to me in my Inbox. (I really don't care if it ends up in MW's recycle bin or not...)

How can I do this?

Open Outlook and click on the File tab.
Select Manage Rules & Alerts.
In the Rules and Alerts dialog box, click on the New Rule button.
In the New Rule wizard, select the Apply rule on messages I receive option and click on the Next button.
In the Step 1 of 3 screen, select the From option and enter the email address of the sender you want to block.
In the Step 2 of 3 screen, you can choose to move the blocked emails to a specific folder, delete them, or mark them as read.
In the Step 3 of 3 screen, enter a name for your rule and click on the Finish button. tutuapp vidmate

Once you have created the rule, any emails from the specified sender will be blocked and will not appear in your Inbox. You can check the blocked emails in the Junk Email folder.

Yes, the method biwek86619 gave will only work though if any mail is missed in MWPro, to get MWPro to do this, you need to add that domain to your blacklist, (right click on the senders email and click add domain to blacklist) then set it to auto delete, AND, have MW checking mail every XX mins automatically as below.....

Although MWPro cannot auto wash as such, you can setup MW to auto delete a lot of your spam, and if you set MWpro to check mail every XX mins, (Settings>>General>>Checking Mail) it'll remove any mail the spam tools or filters catch......

(NOTE: I advise you be very sure the spam tool you are enabling auto delete for is not catching any legitimate emails before enabling the auto delete options too).

To auto delete senders you have already added to your blacklist for example, click Settings>>Spam Tools>>Blacklist>>Options, tick, "Auto delete blacklisted emails".

You can also set your filters, (Settings>>Spam Tools>>Filters>>click a filter>>Edit) to auto delete by selecting this option under the Actions tab there...

And to set MW to auto delete any email that comes in over a specific spam rating, click Settings>>Spam Tools>>Spam Ratings, and tick, "Auto delete if rating reaches:"

Note however, I recommend you read this first before enabling the last option:
