Problems with a new user's location

Hello to everyone.
I'm in the US and want to watch the F1 races, so I'm trying to watch SRF zwei in Switzerland.

I set Hideaway to Switzerland, Zurich. When I go to www.srf.ch to watch the F1 stream, I get the message "The content cannot be played" in German.

When I use a site like https://mylocationnow.io/ to find out where I am, it says I'm in Scotland, which is several hundred miles from where I am, but not Switzerland.

Hideaway shows that you are connected (in green) and that it will send you to your computer.

Am I expecting too much or am I using "hideaway" wrong?

A lot of these media companies block VPN IP addresses, so it's a bit hit and miss sometimes if videos will work. That said, I was able to watch some live sport on it just now so it should be working.

Also, there's no actual location information attached to an IP address, so these location websites use some smarts and guessing as to the location of the IP address. for Example, https://ipinfo.io/ shows it as Switzerland, which is correct. Maxmind.com which does the majority of the location data also shows it as Switzerland.

If you go to ipinfo.io and check there, it should say Switzerland. Otherwise you might have another VPN running? Or try visiting it and the tv channel via a private browsing session.
