MW not checking Junk folder. Suggestions?

Hi. MW newbi here.
I'm using MWFree, latest version 7.12.125, with Outlook mail. Using Win11.

Lots of my Outlook mail goes to my Junk folder. When I run 'check mail' in MW, it checks my Inbox OK, but it does not check the Junk folder mail items.
I've searched this forum for similar posts. I've seen some suggestions to use POP for the fix. Others suggest IMAP. I've tried just about every combination I can think of (using the web version of Outlook, the client version, 'Hotmail' option, etc), but nothing I used can get MW to check the Junk folder.

Any suggestions?

Yes that is no problem, you do indeed need to use IMAP..... in MWpro click, Settings>>Accounts>>click your Outlook/MSN/Hotmail account, check the Incoming tab to ensure the account IS set to IMAP not POP, then click on the IMAP tab, scroll down and select your spam or junk or bulk mail folder. (if the folder list is blank here, restart MWPro, then check again)
