Outlook won't close after open from Mailwasher Pro 7

Hello to the Board!
I've been having a problem caused (I think) by Mailwasher Pro 7 for a while now: I open Outlook from Mailwasher after filtering my mails. Download mails regularly in Outlook but, when I try to close it (from the x in the program bar) Outlook stays perpetually grayed out in the Systray, as if it's going to close, but it won't close.

And the only way is to close it through the windows task manager, where it appears as a subprogram of Mailwasher.

Any suggestions to solve it?

Yes, pretty odd that it wont close, as MW just opens like a desktop or other icon would.... possibly run a repair on Outlook as described here?

FWIW, I just opened Outlook 2016 from within MWP (v7.12.180 Beta), did a bunch of stuff with my Outlook emails and Calendar entries, then closed Outlook. I saw the Outlook System Tray icon momentarily turn gray, then disappear. So it seems to work as expected here - at least with Office/Outlook 2016.
