Version 7.12.173, which is not working, is telling me it is up to date, when I click on Check for UpdatesMarty9753 wrote: ↑Mon Nov 13, 2023 5:48 pmThe latest version 7.12.187 is working fine. http://cdn.firetrust.com/downloads/mail ... 12_187.exe

Yes, 7.12.173 is the latest showing on the web-site.
Maybe 7.12.187 is a beta version?

Version 7.12.187 works fine but the installer id being flagged b Windows Defender as a security risk, which is not a nice warning to get, so needs to be tweaked to eliminate this. A certificate issue, is it?

Version 7.12.187 works fine for me strange that we did not get a message about an update.

The announcement says: * Problem confirmed only for Windows 11
I use Windows 10, have the same problem as all the others here.

The download link is considered insecure. There is something wrong with the cdn and or ssl certificate as every download from firetrust now produces a insecure warning.

Hi NotesTracker
Thanks but I tried and it was the same.
http is missing the "s" and if I add https it also blocks.
When I previously received by email a link from support for a beta version 181 the link was more complete with a whole series of letters and numbers.

MW v7.12-173 is buggy anyway, as First Alert gave/gives trouble as well (see other thread) - maybe date-related too?
Re: An unknown error has occurred. MailWasher is unable to determine the cause of this error.
Yup - 13-11-23 works for Nov. 13 - but it doesn't work as a month (note 12-11 and 11-12 do work, but after midnight it changed to 13-11) - somewhere, mm-dd-yyyy as a format needs to be fixedSoapy Molloy wrote: ↑Mon Nov 13, 2023 4:03 amI guess somebody's bright idea in a later version had a date vulnerability in it, shouldn't be too hard to find (speaking as a professional programmer)

I can confirm that the problem also affected Windows 10 Pro on one desktop and one laptop.
My other laptop was not affected, turned out that was running "mailwasher_pro_setup_7_12_119"
I have installed "mailwasher_pro_setup_7_12_187" on my desktop, and can confirm that this version is working.
Thanks.
I had to re-register for the forum, for some reason my account from 2021 wasn't recognised.

I still have an "official" older version but I'm not sure you can backtrack versions.
Re: An unknown error has occurred. MailWasher is unable to determine the cause of this error.
I was a programmer for 45 years before I retired a few years ago and know where the error as well. Thanks for offer to download a version that corrected - but I will wait for the "official" Firetrust version to be released.trois wrote: ↑Mon Nov 13, 2023 11:24 pmYup - 13-11-23 works for Nov.
