I have a 'problem' due to the change in the Wireless M.2 card from AX to BE speed. Well, that card doesn't seem to connect as soon as the old card did. So when MWP starts, and tries to Fetch mail, I get that annoying 'doink' sound.
Now, there is only a few options within MWP. Not start MWP when Windows starts (which means I have to manually start it) or not Fetch email when MWP starts. Both would require me to either start MWP or open MWP and manually fetch mail. Of course presently I could wait the 10 minuted for MWP to do it.
None are great options for me.
I can create a Scheduled task to start MWP 2 minutes after Windows starts of course, but how ABOUT an option under START MWP WHEN WINDOWS STARTS for basically on or off, to on, off, or delay with a user time setting?

Re: Suggestions for MWPro
One that has always annoyed me, if I had an email that IS clearly SPAM I mark it to be sent to the SPAM reporting sites and check it to be deleted. However, in many cases, these just don't get stopped? So I get tired of reporting them. I just create a filter to get rid of them and I never see them. Would it be possible within the FILTER to have the OPTION of REPORTING SPAM? Of course, some that continue forever would be a PITA too as I'd be getting the emails to finish the reporting, but at that point I guess I could change the filter NOT to report them?

Sorry but no, no way to do this from within MW, however you could use some third party software to delay the start of MW, I cannot recommend any as never used them, but there are several listed when you google it...
No, we used to allow auto reporting, however had to disable it due to users reporting good emails all the time....

OK, I'm giving AutoRun Organizer a try. See how that works, just didn't want to add another program starting, or create a task to do it. Figuring every install of MWP release would require redoing the program or task.
I've got Glary Utilities too, and it can delay programs that autostart as well.
I suspect with either once a new version is loaded I'll have to play with it all over again?

After making changes in my Outlook later I'll look back at MWP and some items are outdated then.
I may delete or move items in Outlook and MWP still shows the old location. Clearing the Cache or restarting MWP seems to update the changes.
So most of the time I find myself using the "Clear Cache" button often.
Settings--> General --> Checking Mail ---> "Clear Cache"
It would be nice to be able to show a button for this on the MWP Inbox Tab page for easy quick access.
Appreciated,
davethiele

Yes, you 'should' just be able to click Check Mail again, that'll clear the display of any emails no longer on the server, or in other folders?

Re: Suggestions for MWPro
I just upgraded to a newer prerelease, but on 7.12.188 version it did not always do that for me.
I'll watch for awhile and do the check mail to see how it works. Last night after about 3-4 Check mails tries it did update. Guessing Outlook could be delayed in sending to server too.
Not doing Exchange but just IMAP.
Thanks for the info.

Yes, sounds like the mail server is just a bit slow to update, MW can only update what it shows once the server has... cheers!

Suggestion: SPF check in Spam Tool settings
Hi, I'm a longtime user of mailwasher pro and feel like I'm on every junkmail list that exists since 2005. Mailwasher has always worked great for that. Lately though email spoofing my own domain has been the most annoying.
I'd like to request that an SPF check be added to the Spam Tool Check. Most spam/phishing/blackmail emails getting past MW are claiming to be from my own domain. To fight this, I've been blocking my own address. While my own address is a specific case, I think it's time now to block any domain (as determined from source IP) that does not have a valid SPF record.
My suggestion is to score incoming mail lower if it does not pass an SPF test. Possibly quicker and easier, a check that the sender origin IP evaluates to a domain that even HAS a valid SPF record.

So program does not have to crash but just not show as a running program and then this program will start the program up.
So don't let the crash wordage fool you as can be used for a few other purposes.
This program should be set to run on login as a startup. Can't remember if it did it self or I set it too.
If you want to start with windows and delayed you could try this program:
Restart on Crash v1.6.4.0 https://www.majorgeeks.com/files/detail ... crash.html
In program I setup by pressing the add button.
Then enter the following in the "Monitor this application" and same in the "Execute a command after a crash".
"C:\Program Files (x86)\Firetrust\MailWasher\MailWasherPro.exe"
All check boxes here are checked except "It's not responding to windows messages"
Under assume it has crashed the wait is set to 60 sec but could be more.
I hope this might help you a bit. Assuming I am ok to post this. Hopefully it will get approved here.

Update: I also found out that my Outlook did not have trash items checked off in Outlook Send/Receive settings. So I would delete emails in outlook and update and look in MWP and they were still there and confirmed there by looking at the server direct email page on web. By making Outlook "Send/Receive settings" to include "Deleted Items" the problem for this was solved.gingbat wrote: ↑Sun Apr 14, 2024 7:17 amdavethiele wrote: ↑Sat Apr 13, 2024 3:17 pmAfter making changes in my Outlook later I'll look back at MWP and some items are outdated then.

Not a problem for me now. First, a program, Autorun Organizer did the job, can delay autostarts, but a later driver from Intel fixed the problem of starting with Windows. All good now. Still, the option to delay start after Windows could be a good one to have.dthiele wrote: ↑Mon May 27, 2024 4:30 pm

Re: Suggestions for MWPro
Perhaps not the biggest gripe, but I find that the buttons take up too much screen real estate.
I'd much prefer to be able to select a smaller size.
Even the toolbar that they reside in is far too big for my liking.
I find myself right-clicking everywhere looking for the option to choose the button size/style, to no avail.
Surely it can't be just myself?
