I realize this may sound stupid because the answer is probably to use custom rules, but I do not understand the instructions for how those work.
Currently, I have Hideaway protecting either Firefox or my entire PC. If I set it to the latter, it causes no end of issues when visiting sites using Brave browser.
Is there a simple way to just browse to a program/app you want Hideaway to work with so that only specified apps use HA?

Sure, in the custom rules you can specify which application exe process name to redirect (to location).
eg.
Just make sure the 'All Computer' location is disabled.
Then add any other exe name in there too. eg msedge.exe or firefox.exe
We're working on a new user interface and that will show you the process name and where it's being redirected as some apps have multiple, otherwise go to Task Manager (CTRL + SHIFT + ESC), then go to Details tab.

Thanks. That was easy. I was confused about the Port and CIDR fields.
2 other questions, if I may: how can I export my settings and is there a method for restoring them when changing a PC, for example?
Finally, I have had to disconnect HA to be able to access this forum. When HA was connected, I got a message saying my IP had been permanently banned.

Ok, we don't have an export/import rules function yet but it's coming. Sorry it's all a bit basic currently but the building blocks are all there, we'll have another update tomorrow.
Oh, what's your IP and also the location you were on with Hideaway? We'll get that looked at.

That 192.. address is a local address on your computer. If you visit something like ipinfo.io/json it will tell you your public IP

Ok, can't see it being banned - but it might have just been an automatic but temporary security thing with the forum when switching IPs.
