MailWasher not deleting emails on New Outlook server

Using MW 7.15.38, and attempting to become acclimated to New Outlook. Windows 11.

When I bring up Mailwasher Pro Inbox, I will typically see a number of emails already marked for deletion. I usually end up manually marking a number of others for deletion, as well. I will then do a Mailwasher wash, and those mails dutifully disappear from the MW Inbox window.

However, when I then go to Outlook, all those items are still in the OL Inbox.

Are there special settings that I need to make in either MW or New OL so that I once MW has done its trick I no longer have to see the deleted items?

I think I may have discovered a partial answer to this: Under Settings -> Accounts-> Incoming ->Advanced , the option to "Move deleted messages into folder" was not checked. I checked that and selected a folder, and I think that items shown as deleted in MW are now not showing in New Outlook.

I do wonder, though: How are the possible target folders for deleted messages are chosen? I do not see the capability of navigating the file system to find a folder I would probably use, had I had the choice. Just wondering.

Yep, where you check the option "Move deleted messages into folder" , check it, and wait a few seconds, the folder list should populate so you can choose a folder....?
