HI,
in the old version i could set it to
1) auto delete any black listed
2) click 1 button to blacklist , delete and Bounce this is critical to be able to do this again.
as a biz i get hundreds of spam a day the fact i have to click a message 3 times (blacklist, delete, bouce) is insane.
HELP
thanks

I don't think MWP2101 is too hard to use it is just different.

Bouncing spam is not a good idea anymore: http://forum.firetrust.com/viewtopic.php?f=50&t=63562) click 1 button to blacklist , delete and Bounce this is critical to be able to do this again.

Re: old vs new too hard to use
Even the blacklist is of less use today than it was a year ago as most spammers steal or make up an address and use it one time and then never again.
The new MW is built in a way that you don't need to blacklist any forged addresses to get decent performance out of the spam detection functions and the delete based on point scored is far safer and more reliable that forcing a delete by just the blacklist.
Give the new way a try instead of trying to force the new MW to fit into the limitations of the old version, you'll be pleasantly surprised how much better it does on your spam by not doing anything more than clicking the classify buttons to properly tag your mail. It will take a couple hundred messages to get to full effectiveness but once it is there you will find little need for the blacklist.
And yes as was said the spammers now want you to bounce their spam, it helps them spread their spew and to attack their enemies. You do not want to bounce a spam any more than you want to click a link in one.

Re: old vs new too hard to use
My blacklist is completely empty. I did find a use for the friends list, but not for "friends" - just for messages that come to me with just a bare From: email address, no Friendly Name. All my friends send from an address with a friendly name (like "John Brown" <[email protected]>), and I recognize them with a Filter that includes the full From: address. Less likely to be forged (you taught me that).stan_qaz wrote:Even the blacklist is of less use today than it was a year ago as most spammers steal or make up an address and use it one time and then never again.
