Now I've gone and done it

Thu Jul 22, 2010 4:27 am

Good news, just rebooted the PC and MWPro is starting again. :D

#########################################################
Just upgraded to Windows 7 Ultimate and MWPro will not start.

The pro module is taking 24/28 % CPU and the ProApp absolutely nothing.

Downloaded the latest version and installed that and took the repair option, no change.

What logs can I upload and where is their location please.?

Version 6 is still working.

I did get a screen on upgrade stating that Net4 files were corrupted and do not switch off until window clears.
Have also carried out a pile of updates for Windows 7.

TIA

A few things off the top of my head. First because of the 32 vs 64 bit structures for Programs check the Startup Folder to see if the path to the UI program is correct. Second there may also be path issues related to the placement of the Common and User files directories. Third, how do you have your sign on set up e.g. does it have Admin rights or not.

The simplest thing might be is to either make a copy or rename the User files directory. Use the downloaded version of the program but this time select Uninstall. When that completes then run the d/l again and install and see if it runs OK.

Thank you Sidewinder,

A restart seems to have cured it, but if it plays up any more, I'll take your advice and uninstall/install again.
I do not have MW in startup and my user is an Admin.
