I have been running Mailwasher Pro 6.5.4 without a problem, and tonight upgraded to Mailwasher Pro 2010.
Mailwasher Pro 2010 ran OK the first time I started it, but the second time (and all subsequent times) I start it the whole display goes black, and then a very blurred distortion of the main window and the help window appear; see attached file for a screenshot. The app is unusable in this form, although I think it's still working behind the scenes as the icon in the taskbar shows the number of emails awaiting processing. I've rebooted the machine but this made no difference.
This issue is only affecting the Mailwasher 2010 app. I can still use other applications without a problem (including Mailwasher Pro 6.5.4), even with the Mailwasher 2010 app up and running at the same time in its blurred form. I'd appreciate guidance, as I don't know where to start!
My machine is a IBM ThinkPad, 3 years old approx, running Windows XP 2002 Home Edition SP3, Pentium 1.7 Ghz processor, 504 MB of RAM.
Thanks,
Graeme Ludwig.

Re: Whole display is blurred
There have been other reports regarding outdated display drivers causing issues. Don't know if it is applicable for you or not.

The black screen is a known issue for XP users. It has to do with the way they build the UI screen. It's on the list to be fixed. Have you tried uninstalling MWP and then reinstall?

Re: Whole display is blurred
I currently have two entries under "Display adapters" in the Windows XP device manager. Both entries are labelled "Intel(R) 82852/82855 GM/GME Graphics Controller". So should I be looking for a newer version of these drivers, and if I find one do I update both entries or just the one?
Thanks,
Graeme.

Not yet. Would I uninstall both 2010 and 6.5.4 or just 2010?Sidewinder wrote:The black screen is a known issue for XP users. It has to do with the way they build the UI screen. It's on the list to be fixed. Have you tried uninstalling MWP and then reinstall?

Re: Whole display is blurred
Just 2010, they run in different directories and use different data locations so they have no impact on each other.
