I am a long time user of MW and love it!! I just purchased the new version and I have several comments and what I consider problems:
1. The spacing between rows is much too large (in comparison with the older versions) and I found the ability to see more helpful.
2. In going through the emails and marking the ones I intend to delete; if I come to one that is marked "good" and which I want to add to my "friends" list, if I do so at that moment, it removes all the checks I have already marked in the emails I intend to delete. I have to start all over again.
3. In the old version I could indicate that I wanted the friends list to appear first and could have a sub category ordered under friends: by that I mean that after getting friends to be first I could go into the subject column and have the emails within friends grouped by subject. It does not appear that I can do this with the new version.
I hope the developers will see this and perhaps make the appropriate changes as I love this program!!

Have you tried the grouping option? Click the "Quick Display" link (top left corner) and select "Show column headings" and "Show grouping by column option". You can then drag the column headings that you want to group by into the grouping area.cutcat wrote:3. Thank for the info on items 1 & 2.
As for 3, I tried what you suggested and it does do more or less what I want except that it now takes up so much more space by having the -+ sign option and the subject now as a category and the emails listed under it. Also I get a 2 emails in the same place that appear to be writing over each other so they can't be read.
What the program needs is the option to keep the way it displays now or eliminate the sub categories as a separate item as to me this is an unnecessary redundancy because I see the subjects grouped in the subject column anyways.
