Error message when launching MWP 2010

Fri Sep 17, 2010 7:21 pm

I have been running Mailwasher Pro 2010 with Microsoft Outlook 2007 with no problems. However, today I upgraded to MS Office 2010, with MS Outlook 2010. After cleaning my email in Mailwasher, I clicked the button to go to MS Outlook 2010. However, instead of going into Outlook, I received an error pop-up stating "An error has occurred while launching the mail program at "C:\PROGRA~2\MICROS~1\Office12\OUTLOOK.EXE" /recycle."

In other words, I am now unable to go from Mailwasher Pro 2010 to MS Outook 2010. I am able to go directly to MS Outlook 2010 but not by way of Mailwasher Pro 2010. However, of course I want my email cleaned first by Mailwasher before going into Outlook 2010.
I am running Windows 7 Premium Home 64 bit, on 2 T hard drive with 12 gig ram.
Thank you for your assistance.

Yes, there is an answer somewhere. I went from O/E to Outlook 2010. Just had to refresh my memory. In Settings go to General options then select Washing Mail select Use Other Application then go back and select Outlook and it should pick up the new Outlook. Outlook 2010 is office14 if that makes sense to you.

Sorry if this looks untidy but am working with MW 2010 opened up.

Thank you Peter for the quick response. That did it! I forgot that when installing MS Office 2010, I was set up for OneNote as a replacement for Outlook. I changed it back to Outlook and all is well with the world.
Thank you again,
