Same for me here. Mailwasher started giving me this error on any account (existing or recreated). It is as if something blocks it from accessing the outside world but neither the antivirus nor the wiindows firewall seem to be the blockers.
Uninstalled, reinstalled, but nothing managed to make version 7.12.173 work again (it has been working every day without problems until now).
Installed version 7.12.125, reimported the accounts and everything looks fine again.
I just did the same. Installed an older version 7.12.125 and is now working.

Installed an older version
I am glad you got it working but seriously, why an older version? In probably a dozen place by now, including a couple just a few replies up from yours, are links to the newest versions that resolves these issues.

You should have, by now, even received an email from Firetrust explaining what happened, and links to the fix.

I recommend you check for updates and install the latest. Or, posted a couple days ago is this (viewtopic.php?f=16&p=168432#p168432).

Working with version 188 except for my hotmail account, at first it integrates perfectly, but the next day it fails, a shame because everything else is perfect. I imagine that there are still things to polish, a lot of encouragement and go ahead with this excellent program. Sorry for my language

Your Hotmail problem "should" not to be related to this past unknown error issue.

It is now known the problem was tracked it down to a 3rd party program used inside MailWasher. The license key was not entered correctly but it still allowed everything to run for 60 days without any issues. The fix was simply to enter the key correctly. So hours to find, seconds to fix - typical of many computer related problems.

But again, that "should" not have anything to do Hotmail. Having said that, Firetrust is aware that some users are having issues with Hotmail and SBC accounts and the latest version of MailWasher and they are working on that.

OK, so .188 fixed everything, except that I lost all spam filtering. All emails are not marked, and I need to re-mark them good and bad. I suppose something to do with Bayesian? Any way for me to get it back as previously?
Thanks.
Anything?

Thanks Bill...

Yep, seems we're getting a few reports of Hotmail and Yahoo connection issues, working on it now... these effect SBC, pacbell etc accounts too as they are Yahoo based.... please email into support if you need to be notified when a beta is ready to try..... cheers!
